Costa Dorada Spain Spain is a stunning stretch of coastline in northeastern Spain, known for its golden beaches, crystal-clear waters, and picturesque towns and villages.

One of the most popular towns along the coast is Salou, which is known for its beautiful beaches, lively nightlife, and theme parks. Families will love visiting PortAventura World, a world-renowned amusement park that features thrilling rides and attractions.

In addition to these towns, the Costa Dorada is also home to a number of other charming villages, such as Sitges, a bohemian beach town that is popular among artists and creatives, and Altafulla, a medieval village that is known for its castle and narrow, winding streets. Below are a few places that we visited while on the Cosata Dorada while based in Salou

The lovely L’Ametlla de Mar Costa Dorada is a charming coastal town located in the province of Tarragona, Spain. Thirty minutes drive South of Salou. We arrived and parked in the harbour car park which was free of charge. There are a few car parks around the town. From here we walked around the fishing harbour and then along the coastal path South. We didn’t do a massive walk, turning around after about 35 minutes in the direction of town.

We drove over here from visiting Escaladei and the Cartoixa d’Escaladei. The drive was amazing it seemed to go up forever. The roads have very few barriers if any. A wrong move would see you dropping off a very big cliff. The locals seemed to manage them well and at great speed. I soon changed my mind about the dangerous roads and the big drops. I had to watch out for the locals.
